Yasuko Schultz

We remember Yasuko Schultz, a caring wife, mother, and grandmother of Trenton, MI whose spirit departed from us at the age of 82 on January 6th, 2025 while surrounded by her loving family.

Yasuko was born August 22nd, 1942 in Okinawa, Japan where she grew up and met the love of her life Dale Schultz. They wed in November 1966 and were married for 40 years. After living in many different cities while Dale was in the Army, the family settled in Trenton, MI where Yasuko intertwined herself into her community and neighborhood. Throughout her life she held an unwavering faith in God, reflected in her impact on Faith United Methodist Church.

She had the most unbelievable talent to turn anything into something beautiful, whether that be food, a floral arrangement, sewing, or handcrafted crochet items, etc. Her craft and intelligence was passed down and lives within her children and grandchildren; Emma, Larry, Avery, and Mallory which she loves wholeheartedly.

For those that knew her, know that she was a beacon of unwavering friendship and kindness. We will all be happy to honor her memory and spread the light she so often shined on all of us.

Yasuko joins Dale Schultz and her dog Duke in Heaven. She is survived by Suzanne (Laurence) Rife, Mark (Stephanie) Schultz, Emma (Jacob) Lechner, Laurence Rife, Avery Schultz and Mallory Schultz.

Visitation with a Service following will be held at Faith United Methodist Church (2530 Charlton Rd Trenton, MI 48183) on January 24th, 2025 at 10:00 AM. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to your choice of location of the Humane Society and the PKD Foundation, two organizations in which Yasuko felt strongly about.
