Winifred N. Lorence

Winifred was born on October 14, 1925 in Detroit, Michigan to Elmer and Lillian (nee: Hildebrandt) Quandt. She was a class of 1943 graduate of Melvindale High School. Winifred is the beloved wife of John A. Lorence who preceded her in death in 2003; loving mother of the late Phyllis Ardanowski, John "Jerry" (Nancy) Lorence and Douglas Lorence; proud grandmother of Beth Ardanowski, Carol Ardanowski, Andrea Lorence and Stacy Lorence and the great grandma of Raelyn. Also survived by one brother Henry Quandt. She was preceded in death by her parents and three sisters Marjorie, Harriet and Kathryn. Earlier in her life Winifred worked for J.L. Hudson Company; she was an avid reader who enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and had been a fan of the Detroit Tigers since she was a young girl. There are no public services scheduled and memorial contributions may be made as the donor chooses.
