Willis "Bill" Myers

Beloved husband, father and grandfather Born in Sapulpa, Oklahoma, Bill was the son of Clarence and Flora (Strait) Myers. He honorably served his country with the United States Navy from 1941-1945. Bill then attended the University of Michigan and was accepted in the Michigan State Police Trooper Academy. As a Navy Reservest he was recalled to active duty and served during the Korean War. Returning to Battle Creek and the State Police he was promoted to Detective. He married the love of his life, Mary Ann Stevenson on March 23, 1957. He served for 25 years with the Michigan State Police and retired as First Leutenant. He then was employed with the Michigan Department of Health for 10 years. Bill leaves to cherish his memory, Mary Ann, his wife of almost 58 yeasrs; daughter: Catherine F. (William) Medick as well as grandchildren William Medick and Thomas Medick.
