Born in East Chicago, Illinois and raised in Hammond, Indiana, William was the son of Joseph and Marylou Hogatt. A High School Graduate, he faithfully served our country in the United States Army. William earned his Bachelor Degree from Purdue University. He married the love of his life, Susan Hanson, for the first time on October 12, 1996 and the second time December 31, 2022. William worked as a Civil Engineer all over the United States doing construction, retiring in 2018. He enjoyed playing baseball, golfing, bowling and fishing. He also was a lifetime fan of the Chicago Bears and Chicago White Sox.
William leaves to cherish his memory, Susan, whom he has been with for over 32 years; a daughter Alyssa Lynn Domasica; a sister Barbara (Jerry) Detloff; two nephews Jay Detloff and Matthew Detloff; as well as his best buddy Malipoo Buddy the family pet.
