William James Farrer

William James Farrer, age 100 of Rockwood, passed away July 26, 2022 Born December 4, 1921 in Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada, William was the son of James and Louise (Cail) Ferrer. A high school graduate, he then served in the Royal Canadian Air Force. He married Ruth McLean in 1949. Sadly she preceded him in death in 1989. He then was married to June Kugler in 1991 who also preceded him in death in 2019. William worked as a Machine repairman for General Motors and then at the Ford Woodhaven Stamping Plant, retiring in 1985. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Masons and well as the Lions Club. William enjoyed golfing and was a proud member of the Canadian Legion. William leaves to cherish his memory his children: Wendy Betway and Judith (Jerry) Romak; four grandchildren: Lance (Amanda Christiana) Betway, Dennis (Kristin) Romak, Matthew (Cindy) Romak and Meghan (Bob) Genrich; as well as eight great grandchildren: Calvin Betway, Maxwell Betway, Colin Romak, Bryan Romak, Anna Romak, Gavin Genrich, Gracie Genrich and Emmie Genrich. In addition to his parents and spouses, he was preceded in death by five siblings and a grandson Spencer Betway.
