William H. Kaiser

Kaiser, William H. of Grosse Ile, formerly of Southgate, Michigan, April l3, 2014. Bill was born on April 25, 1934 to Karl and Anna Kaiser who immigrated to America from Austria-Hungary and settled in Lincoln Park. Beloved husband of Patricia Kaiser (Zulewski) for 56 years. Loving and dearest father of William J. (Renee), Jeffrey, Michael, Lisa Kaiser and Amy (Todd) Johnson. Much loved grandpa of Jordan, Mackenzie and Morgan Kaiser, Evan, Emma and Jack Johnson, Jessica McHale and Chelsea Albertie. Youngest brother of John Kaiser and the late Michael Miller, Joseph Kaiser, Charles Kaiser and Anna McDuffee. He will also be missed by many dear friends and other loving members of the Kaiser, Zulewski and Ungar families. Bill honorably served in the U.S. Army from 1953 to 1955. After attending Eastern Michigan University, he formed Starlite Electric Co. which he owned for 35 years. Bill also served for 31 years on the Downriver Electrical Examining Board, was a member of the Knights of Columbus for 62 years, and was President and lifetime member of Grosse Ile Golf and Country Club. Bill was a charitable man of faith and had a love of animals and music. Visitation will be held at the The Martenson Family of Funeral Homes Trenton Chapel, 3200 West Rd. on Wednesday, April l6 from 2PM until time of scripture service at 7:45PM. Burial will be private. A Memorial Mass will be held at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church on 10th St. in Wyandotte on Friday, May 2, 2014 at 11AM. Memorial donations can be made to Saint Vincent de Paul of Detroit or Grosse Ile Fire and Rescue. A video tribute will be available later today.
