William Eugene Babcock

Babcock, William E. “Bill”, age 73, passed away on February 26, 2019. Born in Flint, Michigan, Bill was married to his loving wife, Michele, for 21 years. Beloved father of Jill (Jeff) Judd, Jason (Sarah) Babcock, and the late Jennifer. Dearest grandfather of Tracy and Daniel Judd, and Samantha and Anna Babcock. Dear brother of Ann (Larry) Ryan and John (Sandy) Babcock. Proud uncle to many nieces and nephews. His parents, Eugene and Virginia, preceded him in death. Bill began a 48-year career with General Motors as a toolmaker apprentice and retired from the company in 2012, after serving in various management positions of increasing responsibility in manufacturing facilities located in Flint and Romulus, Michigan and Toledo, Ohio. His education included an associate’s degree in mechanical engineering from Flint Community Junior College, a bachelor’s degree from University of Michigan – Flint and a master’s degree in liberal arts from Central Michigan University.
