William E. Smith

Smith, William E. Age 88; of Trentonwas born on February 1, 1930 in Ohio and died on February 24, 2018 in Dearborn. William was raised in River Rouge and married Barbara Hoagland on August 19, 1955 and together they shared 61 years of marriage; sadly she preceded him in death in 2017. William was raised in River Rouge and at the age of 17 he enlisted in the United States Marines and served his country during WWII and the Korean Conflict; he was a supervisor for many years at Detroit Edison and after his retirement he and his wife spent their time between Trenton and Florida. William attended the Detroit Bible College and attended the First Presbyterian Church in Trenton where he taught Sunday School.Visitation is Thursday from 3 – 7 pm at the Trenton Chapel of The Martenson Family of Funeral Homes, 3200 West Rd. The funeral service is Friday 10 am at the funeral home. Entombment Michigan Memorial Park Cemetery.
