Wanda Violet Grancitelli

Wanda Violet Grancitelli, age 100 of Monroe, passed away Sunday, February 20, 2022. Born May 20, 1921 in Farrell, Pennsylvania, Wanda was the daughter of Herbert and Mabel (Stock) Watkins. A 1939 graduate of Monroe High School, she married the love of her life, Joseph Grancitelli, on March 16, 1943. Sadly he preceded her in death September 20, 1997. A faithful member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, she also was the Past President of the Monroe Thrift Shop Association, a member of the Red Hat Society, the Lioness Club and the Loyal Order of The Moose. In her younger years Wanda and her husband enjoyed dancing, but her most treasured times were those spent with her family. Wanda leaves to cherish her memory her children: Diane (Timothy) Finzel, Mark (Margaret) Grancitelli Sr., Matthew (Jody) Grancitelli and Susan (Martin) Menard; 12 grandchildren and several great grandchildren; as well as a brother Donald (Arlola) Watkins. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter Peggy Garner and 5 siblings: Peg Shilliday, Anna Jacobs, Ozzy Watkins, Eugene Watkins and Kenny Watkins. Due to COVID there will be no Funeral Luncheon. Memorial contributions in honor of Wanda may be made to St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
