Wanda J. Billock

Wanda J. Billock, 75 of Monroe, passed away Sunday, April 9, 2017 at Beaumont Hospital-Trenton. Wanda was born December 29, 1941 in Monroe, Michigan to Ernest and Evelyn (Trowbridge) Heck. She married John J. Billock October 28, 1977 in Monroe, Michigan and was previously married to Richard Blanchett for 18 years. Wanda worked as a housekeeper for various places in Monroe throughout the years. She was a former member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Monroe, enjoyed watching the Detroit Tigers, doing crafts, crocheting and gardening. She especially loved to spend time with her family. Wanda leaves to cherish her memory her husband John Billock of Monroe; 2 sons Rick Blanchett of Monroe, MI and David (Debbie) Blanchett of Masury, OH; 3 daughters Tina Maurer of Grand Island, FL, Pamela (Greg) Baehr of Jonesville, MI, and Valerie (Robert) Cartwright of Newport, MI; 2 step daughters Shelly (Don) Peyton of Port Charlotte, FL and Lisa (Rick) Varney of North Port, FL; sister Cynthia (Butch) Maddux of Monroe, MI; 3 nephews and 1 niece; 7 grandchildren Heather, Amanda, David Jr., Kristopher, Cindie, Jason and Hunter; 3 step grandchildren Brandon, Chad and Lee and 10 great grandchildren. Wanda was preceded in death by her parents Ernest and Evelyn Heck. Friends may call Tuesday 2-9pm at The Allore Chapel-Martenson Family of Funeral Homes, 203 E. Elm Ave., Monroe. She will lie in state Wednesday from 9am until the funeral mass at 9:30am at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Monroe. Fr. Jim Smalarz will officiate.
