Born in Detroit, Michigan, Walter was the son of Wasily and Ann (Marte) Suprunuk. He married the love of his life, Wilhelmina Werksma, on October 6, 1951. Sadly, she preceded him in death on August 7, 2014. Walter faithfully served our country in the United States Army from May 15, 1951, until May 8, 1953. Walter worked for over 35 years as a manufacturer's representative, first with Genuine Parts Supply and then with Winona-Van Norman, retiring in 1985. Walter is survived by his children, Sandra (Mac) Miller, Mark (Mary) Suprunuk, Chip Suprunuk, and Christian (Cynthia) Suprunuk; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren; and his beloved sister, Irene Vengen. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by their son Charles "Little Mikey" Suprunuk, his parents, and a sister, Dorothy Ellenbrook.
Celebration of Life will be January 12, 2019, 2-6 PM at VFW Hall, Post 1888, 2763 Veterans Pkwy, Trenton, MI 48183
