Virginia L. Sherman

Sherman, Virginia L. On December 21, 2013, Virginia passed away peacefully after a long illness. She was a beloved sister to Beverly Baas (deceased) and the sister-in-law to Rudolph H. Baas, Jr. (deceased); a loving aunt to Rudolph H. Baas, III (deceased), Terri Baas Horn, and Lenard Dale Baas (deceased) and aunt-in-law to Ruth Baas, Robin Horn, Joy Baas, and Altha Hansen; a treasured great-aunt to Heather Demsky, Derek Baas, Alison Eldridge, Abigail Horn, and Molly Horn; a proud great-great-aunt to Kolton Baas, Taylor Baas, and Lucy Eldridge; an adopted loving aunt to Donna Miles and Eric Shen, and an adoring cat owner of Jeannie. Virginia had a deep love and appreciation for art and travel and was an aspiring painter, herself. She was a trained medical transcriptionist working at hospitals in Flint, Michigan, and more recently at Oakwood Hospital, and taught medical transcription and anatomy and physiology for over 20 years at Henry Ford Community College. She also served for many years as a docent at Greenfield Village and as an elder at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church in Redford.
