Virginia "Jean" M. Slater

Virginia "Jean" M. Slater of Trenton, MI passed away on Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at the age of 96. Beloved wife of the late Edward Slater. Loving mother of Sharon (Don) Kapit, Gary (Pam) Slater, Pamela (David) Saldana, and Alicia (Jim) Thompson. Cherished gramma of Jon (Jill), Shanda (Bob), Ryan (Bailey), and Cody (Jordan). Caring great-gramma of Josephine and Monty. Virginia was preceded in death by her brother Jerry (the late Barbara) Perkins. She will be deeply missed by many loving family and friends. Visitation for Virginia will take place on Sunday, December 19, 2021 at the Trenton Chapel of Martenson Funeral Home located at 3200 West Road from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. A rosary will be held at 5:30 p.m. that evening. The Mass of Resurrection will be held on Monday, December 20, 2021 at St. Joseph Catholic Church located at 2623 3rd St., Trenton. In State 1:00 p.m. Mass at 2:00 p.m. Entombment will follow at Michigan Memorial Park Cemetery.
