He was raised in West Virginia, Indiana, and Michigan - where he resided for the remainder of his life. In September of 1966 he married the late Pamela Sue Shelly. Together they raised four children: Susan (Justin McKarge) Zarenski, Patricia (Scott) Johnson, Heather (Eric) Woelkers, and Thomas R. (Crystal) Bowen. They were the proud grandparents of Zachary, Jennifer, Mark, Sam, Megan, and Cassandra. He retired from the Ford Motor Company in 2006, after 43 years as a welder repairman. Tom was honored to serve as an elder at Angelica Lutheran Church in Allen Park. He was an avid golfer for the last 40 years of his life. He is survived by his children, grandchildren, and sister, Teresa Thompson, brother John Looney, brother-in-law Leo (the late Sonja) Blevins, niece Amy (Robert) Sanchez, nephews Michael (Lyndi) Blevins and Timothy (Jen) Blevins, sister-in-law Roxanne (Tom) Martensen, nephew Brian (Karen) Martensen, and nieces Bridget (Joe) Huss, and Erin (Scott) House and friend Cathy Fox. He was loved and will be missed by many. In lieu of flowers, please send a donation in Tom’s name to Angelica Lutheran Church.
