Tina Ann Giarmo

Tina Ann Giarmo, age 67 of Monroe, passed away Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at Magnum Care of Monroe. Born June 18, 1949 in Monroe, Tina was the daughter of Samuel and Theresa (Grego) Giarmo. She had married Elwood Gay in 1971. Tina worked as a Nurse's Aide at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ann Arbor for over 20 years, retiring in 2009. A member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Monroe, Tina was an avid animal lover and enjoyed doing crossword puzzles. Tina leaves to cherish her memory her daughters: Debbie Drouillard of Monroe and Denise Brooks of Cincinnati, Ohio; a sister Patricia Kosanovich of Monroe and seven grandchildren: Jeremy Drouillard, Melissa Drouillard, Christopher Drouillard, Brandy Cloum, Randall Cloum, Felicia Brooks and Samantha Brooks; as well as a sister-in-law Anna Giarmo of Las Vegas, Nevada. Sadly she was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Anthony Giarmo. A celebration of Tina's life will take place Saturday, August 6, 2016. Friends may gather from 10am until a Funeral Mass at 11am from St. John the Baptist Catholic Chruch, 511 S. Monroe St. Fr. James Smalarz, pastor of the church, will officiate. Memorial contributions in honor of Tina may be made to St. John's Catholic Church or the Humane Society of Monroe County.
