Thomas Neubecker

Thomas Neubecker of Trenton, Michigan went to be with the Lord on October 31, 2023 at the age of 88. Beloved husband of 62 years to Suzanne Neubecker. Loving father of Paul (Cindy) Neubecker, Andrew (Isabel) Neubecker, Ann Marie (Greg) McMichael, Edward (Dawn) Neubecker, Daniel Neubecker, and Nathan (Stacey) Neubecker. Cherished brother of Bill Neubecker, Louella Ballard, Barbara (Doyle) Burke, and Tony (Mary) Neubecker. Dear grandpa of many and great-grandpa of 4 and one on-the-way. Thomas was preceded in death by his son Christopher Neubecker, his mother and father Clara and William Neubecker and his siblings; Donald Neubecker, Mary Ann Price, and Gerald Neubecker. He will be deeply missed by many loving family and friends.

At the age of 18, Thomas began working for Michigan Bell. At the age of 19, he signed up to serve our country and served active duty in the Army for 4 years with two years as a reservist. He met the love of his life through St. Joseph young adults’ group and entered into the covenant of marriage with Suzanne on July 15, 1961.

After over 40 years, Thomas retired from AT&T but not without starting a second career. He then served the Metro Detroit area for another 26 years as an entrepreneur providing computer and phone technology and always strived to keep up with technology. Riverside Telecom was a successful business venture because of Thomas’ integrity and professional kindness to his clients. So much that one client showed up at his doorstop last summer telling him he had finally found him and if he could help his wife with installing her phone lines in her new medical office.

He led a life of honoring God, caring for his family and others with his big heart and worked very hard to support his family.

He was a jack of all trades with respect to caring for his family fixing cars, appliances, building furniture and making room for his expanding family. There was no task he would not shy away from. His legacy is his love and care for his friends and family, always wanting to spend time with them. Many cherished memories were made with Dad, grandfather and great grandfather, uncle, brother, son, friend and Husband. Everyone that knew Thomas expected to get a smile. Even in his late stages of Alzheimer's, when asked how does he feel, he told them “with my hands.”
