Thomas Kootsillas

Thomas A. Kootsillas, 80 years of age died at home June 13th, 2024. Tom was preceded in death by his wife, Ilene and his brother, Frank (Debbi) . He leaves behind his daughters, Deborah (Ken) Darr and their children Tyler and Celine; Barbra Kootsillas (Mike Walters); their children Brendan and Noah. Tom also leaves behind a brother, Robert Kootsillas and a sister, Joan Tillman.

At the time of his death Tom was engaged to Elaine Woolly and would have been step father to her daughter, Victoria Matthews.

Tom gave his service to the National Guard prior to marriage. He worked for Detroit Edison as a forms analyst, a position that he was proud of and enjoyed. Once retired he gave his time to the local Police Dept. Toms' personal passion was boating which he enjoyed as often as possible with family and friends!

In place of flowers it is asked you make a donation to the animal shelter of your choice. Tom would love that.

You will be missed, more than you could know.

We will be celebrating Tom's life on September 11, 2024

We will meet at St. Annes Chapel, 21508 E River Rd, Grosse Ile Township, MI 48138, at 11:15 am for the inurnment.

We will gather for a lunch at the VFW hall, 8840 Macomb St, Grosse Ile Township, MI 48138, immediately following.
