Thomas J. Cook

Born in Monroe, Thomas was the son of Roy and Delores (Gose) Cook. A 1981 graduate of Monroe High School, Thomas was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and trapping. At one time he was a member of Monroe Missionary Baptist Church. Known for being a loving and caring person, with many friends, it was said that Thomas would sacrifice the shirt of his own back for anyone in need. Thomas leaves to cherish his memory his two children, whom he was very proud of: Thomas "TJ" Cook Jr. of Monroe (currently in basic training with the United States Navy) and Kayla Jo (Jake Helton) Cook of Monroe; a granddaughter Paige Elizabeth Helton; his parents Roy and Delores Cook of Monroe as well as his siblings: Deborah Mosher of Monroe, Teresa Cook of Monroe, Richard (Alison) Cook of Hollywood, Florida, Jill (Dale) Lang of Monroe, Joann (Mike Root) Cook of Monroe and Scott Cook of Royal Oak. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family.
