Theresa Ausmus

Theresa Ausmus of Monroe, MI passed away August 1, 2015 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Toledo at the age of 72. She was born April 28, 1943 in Monroe, MI to her parents Vincent and Anna (nee: Marino) DiJohn and graduated from St. Mary Academy in 1961; she married her husband James W. Ausmus on May 2, 1964 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Monroe, MI and he preceded her in death on January 14, 2013. Beloved Mother of Deborah (Michael) Sowa of Canton, MI, Michael (Heather) of Deerfield Beach, FL and David (Diane) of Petersburg, MI. Proud Nano of Dayne, Austin, Anthony and Alexandria. Dearest sister of Barbara Collino of Monroe, MI. Also survived by other loving family and friends. Preceded in death by her parents and one sister Mary Ann Kenne. Theresa was a life-time member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Monroe where she served for many years as a volunteer and she was currently a member of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, Monroe. Her life was her family and her work and along with her late husband she owned and operated the vending company J & T Enterprise dba Serv-U-Matic. She was known for always saying "Smile God Loves You".
