Theodore 'Ted' Emil Ikola

Ikola, Theodore "Ted" Emil. Age 78. July 3, 2017. Ted was born on August 19, 1938 and is the son of the late Margaret Gunderman and George Henry Ikola. He is survived by his wife of 55 years: Kay L. (Brandt) Ikola and children Karl Emil and Karen June (Jonathan Marin), Grandson: Ethan Rafael Marin. He was a graduate of Stanford University and obtained an MBA from Carnegie Mellon University. Served honorably in the United States Air Force, he was a President of Trenton Kiwanis, participated in the Big Brother Association, Seaway Chorale, and Parker Chorale. He loved outdoor activities, was an avid gardener and has the distinction of reaching the summit of Mt. Whitney 3 times. A 40 year member of St. Philip Lutheran Church. Visitation is on Friday, July 7, 2017 from 4 pm – 8 pm at The Trenton Chapel of The Martenson Family of Funeral Homes, 3200 West Rd., Trenton. Theodore will lie in state on Saturday, July 8, 2017 from 10 am at St. Philip Lutheran Church, 1790 Fort Street, Trenton until the time of the service which will begin at 11 am; Rev. Branden Hunt will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to the Food Pantry at St. Philip Lutheran Church. A video tribute will be added, please check back.
