Tanis Fay Wolf

Born in Monroe, she was the daughter of Victor and Delphine (Hopp) Wolf. She graduated in 1959 from St. Mary Academy. Tanis was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church. She served on the Christian Service Commission and was a member of the St. Mary's Christian Women and of the Rosary Makers. She volunteered for the American Red Cross and was a member of the Monroe County Right to Life as a parish representative. She was a founding member of "Club". For 23 years, she was employed at the Monroe County Intermediate School District as a student accounting auditor for all Monroe County schools, retiring in 2001. She enjoyed making porcelain dolls, pen and ink and oil painting, needle art and reading. Surviving are a son, John V. (Laurie) Durbin of New Boston; two daughters, Monica A. (Gregg) Mannino of Grosse Ile and Monone M. (Christopher) Antonelli of Redondo Beach, California; two sisters, Patricia (Leland) Schmitz and Denise (William) Sisung, both of Monroe; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Bonnie Wolf. Memorials may be made to Monroe County Right to Life or Eternal Word Television Network (EWTN).
