Susann M. Dewachter

Born in Monroe, Susann was the daughter of Harley and Madeliene (Asam) Wolfe. She married the love of her life, James DeWachter, on June 8, 1963. Sadly he preceded her in death February 15, 2002. Susann worked at Ford Motor Company in Monroe for over 23 years, retiring in 1995 to move to Ocala, Florida and travel the world with her husband. In Monroe Susann was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and UAW Local 387. After moving to Florida she spent countless hours volunteering for the walk to cure cancer. Susann also volunteered for Ocala Oncology, where she herself was a patient battling bone cancer for 24 years. Susann leaves to cherish her memory her son Michael (Deborah) DeWachter; a brother Allen (Karen) Wolfe; and 3 sisters-in-law. She is also beloved by her grandchildren, great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
