Sue E. Halfmann 1951-2015 Sue E. Halfmann died peacefully on Friday, July 31, 2015, in Howell, MI., after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Sue was born on January 26, 1951 in Lansing to Frederic M. Ramsey and Berniece Ramsey (Warren). She graduated from Lansing Eastern High School, class of 1969. Sue met her husband of 43 years, Paul Halfmann, shortly after. Together they raised four daughters. In addition to being a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother, Sue enjoyed card games with friends, travel, and spending time with her family. She was an avid pickleball player, both in The Villages, FL and at the Senior Center in Hartland, MI. Sue was a parishioner at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Brighton, MI. Sue is predeceased by her father, Frederic Ramsey of Lansing, MI. She is survived by her mother, Berniece Ramsey, of Lansing Michigan, her husband, Paul Halfmann of Howell, MI., her children, Angela Rola (Martin) of Lexington, SC., Lisa Silvestri of Coral Springs, Fl., Trisha Mans (Chris) of Grosse Ile, MI., and Erin Brainerd (Alec) of Rockport, ME., and her three brothers, Matthew Ramsey of Williamston, MI, Michael Ramsey (Theresa) of Duck Lake, MI, and Fred Ramsey of Houston, TX. She leaves behind 10 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved deeply. There will be a mass in her honor at St. Patricks Church in Brighton, MI. on Saturday, August 8, 2015 at 10:30 am. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in her name to Karmanos Cancer Research Center.
