Dearest grandson of Beverly Ando and Marlene McCormick. Beloved son of the late Stephen Lorne McCormick. Cherished grandson of the late Richard Ando and the late Stephen Leon McCormick. Loving nephew of many aunts and uncles, Gary Ando (Kathy), Shawn McCormick (Donna), Shannon McCormick, Shane McCormick (Donna), Lonnie McCormick (Hillary) and many cousins. He had a special bond with his daughter’s mother Zayna Mallah. Steven will be deeply missed by many family, friends, and brothers of the Boilermakers Local 169. Steven was in the Boilermaker Apprenticeship and had a love for this skilled trade, learning welding at Monroe County Community College. He loved his coworkers and looked up to them, coming home from work often tired but happy from the great comradary. He was a hard worker. He loved his white diesel F250 truck, eating Hungarian food and grilling, especially Tomahawk steaks on Thanksgiving. He loved collecting music, spud wrenches and hardhats. He loved music and was especially proud of teaching his daughter Amira how to dance. Steven played the trombone from 6th grade until graduation at Trenton High School. He was in jazz band, concert band, and marching band. Steven was very easy going and would help out his family and friends whenever needed with no questions asked. His love for his daughter Amira McCormick will never die. Visitation on Friday, October 29, 2021 from 1:00-8:00 pm with the service at 5:00 pm; at the Allen Park Chapel of The Martenson Family of Funeral Homes, 10915 Allen Road, Allen Park. Memorial contributions to honor Steven’s life may be made to the family.
