Steven James Bainbridge

Steven “Skip” Bainbridge, of Trenton, was born on September 24, 1939 in Little Falls, New York, and went home to be with the Lord on April 5, 2022 at the age of 82. Cherished husband of 61 years to Barbara (nee: Erdman). Beloved father of Kimberly (Christopher) Konkel, Cheryl (Kevin) Foster, and John (Melissa). Proud Papa of Brian (Claudia), Kelly (Kevin), Eric (Alison), Ashley, Emily, Connor, Jenna, and Owen and Great Papa of Bridget, Avery, and George. Skip is also survived by loving family members and many dear friends. Skip was a graduate of Our Lady of Lourdes High School in River Rouge, Michigan. He retired after a long career with the City of Trenton and continued working as a consultant in his retirement years. He was a hardworking, devoted family man who adored his wife, children and grandchildren. He was a long-time active member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Trenton. Skip was an avid sports fan, enjoyed traveling, and was a maritime enthusiast who especially enjoyed ships and tug boats. Visitation is on Friday, April 8, 2022 from 2 pm to 9 pm with a Rosary on Friday at 6:30 pm; both at The Trenton Chapel of The Martenson Family of Funeral Homes, 3200 West Rd., Trenton. Skip will lie in state on Saturday, April 9, 2022 at 9:30 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Trenton. Funeral mass will begin at 10 am. Interment will be at Michigan Memorial Park. Memorial contributions to honor Skip's life may be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation or to St. Joseph Catholic Church, Trenton.
