Steve Horner

Steven Allen Horner (70), son of Raymond and Eleanor, passed away peacefully at home with his wife Deborah by his side. Early morning, on June 24, 2023, Steve was called home by God to be with his parents and family that preceded him. Steve and Deb recently celebrated 50 years of marriage during which they raised five children. Steve is survived by his children Nicole, Jennifer (Jeremy), Danielle, Damian (Kaitlyn), and Tara (Jon). He was a loving and proud papa to his 17 grandchildren.

While he entertained many hobbies throughout his life including music, guitars, classic cars, and Harleys, his most cherished hobby was hunting. He loved spending time in the woods, admiring nature and always in pursuit of a big buck. His love of the woods began with his father in Northern Michigan when he was a boy, and he joyfully shared this pastime with his family. When not pursuing one of his favorite hobbies, he loved movies and history. Always quick to offer an interesting and lesser-known fact about anything and everything, he was a great conversationalist with a passion for knowledge.

Steve was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He was happiest when surrounded by his family and his passing left an unfillable void in the hearts of those that love him.

A visitation will be held on July 10 th from 2pm until 9pm at Martenson Chapel 3200 West Road Trenton, MI 48183. Funeral services will occur on July 11 th at 12pm with a procession from Martenson to Michigan Memorial Cemetery.
