Stephen Richard Kordish, Jr.

Stephen Richard Kordish, Jr. was born on September 21, 1942 in Ebensburg, Pennsylvania and died at his home on October 31, 2018 at the age of 76; he was of Lincoln Park. Beloved husband of 52 years to Bobbie. Loving dad of Cheryl (Eric) Cox and Richard (Jennifer) Kordish. Proud papa of Matthew, Samantha and Stephen, III. Dearest brother of the late Bob Kordish and to his wife Vickie, Pat (Carol) Kordish, the late Bernie Kordish and to his wife Lue, Dave (Erma) Kordish, Joe Kordish (the late Becky), Ron Kordish (Joan), the late Barbara Kordish, Joyce (the late Bill) McDonald, Mary DaBella (Bill Pattison), Betty (Ralph) Weakland, Ruth Thurman, Bernadette Brush (Kevin Krug), Tina (Craig) Zanoni and Debbie Kordish. Also survived by his Godson Anthony Milko, numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family and friends. He was also preceded in death by his parents Steven and Bertha (nee: Bott) Kordish. His family was his love in life and he also enjoyed music, karaoke, bowling, sports and he was a big jokester. Stephen graduated from Northern Cambria High School and went on to proudly serve his Country in the United States Army and was a retiree of Great Lakes Steel. Visitation is on Friday from 5 – 9 pm and on Saturday from 12 – 8 with a Sharing of Memories Service Saturday 3 pm all at The Allen Park Chapel of The Martenson Family of Funeral Homes, 10915 Allen Rd. (Corner of Goddard). The funeral service with participation from The Downriver Veterans Honor Guard is on Sunday at 10 am at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made as the donor chooses.
