Stephen G. Kocsis

Kocsis, Stephen G. Age 81 of Grosse Ile Twp, MI passed away on Saturday, September 5, 2021. Beloved husband of Mary Kocsis. Loving dad of Susan (Ronald) Kilgore and Lorie Jones and stepfather of Robert (Kim) Scott, Kevin (Rechelle) Scott, Randy Scott, and Matthew Scott. Cherished grandfather of Heather (Dan), Ryan (Noel), Haley, Alysse, and Daniel. Caring great-grandfather of Averie, Mila, and Gage. Stephen was preceded in death by his first wife Gayle, his parents Steve and Julia Kocsis, and his sister Janet Maley. Stephen's passions lay with the arts; He was a gifted sculptor and he created gorgeous works of stained glass. He was a master clay modeler in the automotive field and in his free time, you could find him reveling in the beauty of his masterful garden, which was admired by all. Stephen will be remembered fondly as a truly amazing and devoted family man and he will forever be revered and missed tremendously. Visitation will take place Thursday, September 9, 2021 from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Trenton Chapel of the Martenson Family of Funeral Homes located at 3200 West Road, Trenton, MI. The funeral service will be held the following morning, Friday, September 10, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will take place at Michigan Memorial Park Cemetery.
