Stephan Matelic

Stephan was born on April 20, 1955 in Detroit, Michigan and died at his home in Allen Park on November 4, 2017 at the age of 62. Beloved husband of Patricia. Loving dad of Jill Kathleen Matelic and loving step-dad to James Henisse, Jr., Jason (Debra) Henisse and Rachel Mihuc. Proud grandpa of Christian Mihuc. Dearest brother of Louise (the late George) Bielis, Cecile (the late Edward) Turek, Anthony (Jeanne) Matelic, Thomas (Josette) Matelic, Francis (Victoria) Matelic, Charles (Susan) Matelic, Lauris (Dennis) Bagozzi, John (Amy) Matelic and Dan Matelic. Also survived by his nieces, nephews, other loving family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Anthony and Ida (nee: Labantschnig) Matelic. Stephan's love in life was his family and he also loved the University of Michigan. "GO BLUE!!!" Visitation is on Tuesday from 1 – 9 pm with a Vigil Service Tuesday 5:30 pm both at The Allen Park Chapel of The Martenson Family of Funeral Homes, 10915 Allen Rd. (Corner of Goddard). Stephan will lie in state on Wednesday at 11:30 am at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, 9000 Laurence, Allen Park until Funeral Liturgy which will begin at 12 noon.
