Stella "Original Rosie The Riveter" Prusak

Stella “Original Rosie the Riveter” Prusak, of Trenton, originally Allen Park, passed away September 26, 2021. Loving wife to the late Walter Prusak. Devoted mother to the late Walter Prusak Jr, and Gary Prusak. She is survived by her daughter Barbara Prusak. Loved by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, grand nieces and nephews, friends and community members. She was one of the original Rosie the Riveters. She loved to play black jack at the casino, and on one of her lucky streaks she won a 1959 Corvette at Sand’s Hotel in Las Vegas, which she visited frequently with her brother Ted and sister Jean. She was an active member of the Senior Olympics at Westfield Community Center and won a few gold medals. Rosie was very devoted to her faith, she showed this through her actions, kindness, patience and generosity. She often advocated for the underdog. She was a member of Cabrini Christian Mothers and worked many festivals for Cabrini. She was a loving, dedicated wife and mother to her children. She encouraged them to do their best and reach for their dreams. She will be remembered as a women who was caring, full of energy, supportive and loved to carry on family traditions. The secret to her long life was maintaining a healthy diet and exercising regularly. But she would always indulge in the occasional cannoli, hot fudge sundae or her "crepe" like pancakes. Memorial contributions can be made in memory of Stella to Michigan Special Olympics or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
