Shirley Ann Hamrick, age 84, resident of Southgate, MI passed away on August 15, 2023.

Shirley a much-loved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend. She was an avid gardener and loved her Detroit Lions. She was the biggest sports fan to all her grandchildren, attending many baseball, hockey, football and soccer games. She loved shopping, spending time with her grandchildren and traveling with her husband. The casino was often a destination. Shirley enjoyed decorating for every occasion and always made the holidays special. She was full of life and lived it to the fullest.

Shirley was born in Detroit, MI where her parents Otto and Helen Sibley raised three children. In 1957, she met the love of her life and married soon after. Shirley will be missed by her husband of 65 years Charles Hamrick Sr., daughter Kathleen (Henry) Minckiewicz, son Charles (Melissa) Hamrick Jr.; grandchildren Michael (Kelly) Minckiewicz, Craig (Brittany) Minckiewicz, Douglas Minckiewicz, Drew (Kelly) Minckiewicz, Rachel (Rick) Robinson, Michele Hamrick; great grandchildren: Ryan, Tessa, Charlotte, and Jackson. She is preceded in death by her parents Otto and Helen (Janas) Sibley, brother Jerry Sibley, sister Gloria (Bill) Atkinson, nephew Shawn Atkinson.

A Memorial Service will be held at Martenson Funeral Home at 10 am on Friday, August 25. Burial will follow at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 24 from 3 pm until 8 pm.
