Shelia Ryan Grinsell

Shelia “Shee Shee” Ryan (Adkins) Grinsell of Manchester, was called home Saturday August 3, 2019. Born in Ashland, Kentucky, Sheila was the oldest daughter of the late Proctor and Dorothy (O’Brien) Adkins. She was married the love of her life, Robert Grinsell, sadly he preceded her in death in 2017. Shelia attended Boyd County High School. She was the Managing Administrator of Chelsea Realty and later worked for H&R Block, retiring in 2006. Shelia was a long time member of Community Bible Church and a devoted Christian. She was an enthusiastic and avid bowler and was passionate about entertaining, cooking and nature. She was also fervent gardener and flowers held a special passion for her as well as being a member of the Audubon Society and loved her birds. Sheila will be remembered for her gregarious, witty and tenacious personality!! She was a woman of detail and charm and had an unselfish willingness to help where she could. Shelia’s grandchildren and great grandchildren were the love of her life! She will be missed by all who loved her. Shelia leaves to cherish her memory her daughter Lisa (Michael) Ryan of South Rockwood; step children: Robert (Sandra) Grinsell of Farmington, Hills, James (Betsy) Grinsell of Westland and Kelly (Grinsell) Heaslip of Westland; grandchildren: Kathleen (John) Gomez, Lyndsey (Benjamin) Allen, Michaela Ryan, Erica Grinsell, Sean Grinsell, Jordan Heaslip, Tim Boes and Ryan Boes; as well as her great grandchildren: Mya, Nolan, Finley and Adeline. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a sister and brother-in-law Colleen (Raymond) Gandee and a daughter Robin Kay Adkins. In accordance with Shelia’s wishes, she will return to the Lord in her natural state, with closed casket. All her loved and cherished her will remember her as she was. A graveside service will be held 11am on Thursday, August 8, 2019 Rowe’s Corner Cemetery also known as the Sharon United Methodist Church Cemetery: 19980 Pleasant Lake Road, Manchester, Michigan. A memorial luncheon will follow directly afterward at the Community Bible Church: 8400 Sharon Hallow Road, Manchester, Michigan.
