Shawn M. Smith

Shawn was born on September 7, 1973 in Detroit, Michigan and went home to be with the Lord on November 11, 2020 at the age of 47; he was of Farmington Hills, Michigan. Cherished husband of Robin. Amazing and Awesome dad of Verlene and Hannah. Loving son of Dwight and Donna Smith. Beloved brother of Shannon (Matt) Mannikka and Michael Smith. Dearest grandson of Ina Mae Laughman. Dearest brother-in-law of Blair “Skip” (Tami) Simcox. Also survived by his nieces, nephews, other loving family and friends. He will be missed by his dog Ellie. Shawn was a graduate of South Lyon High School and Lawrence Technological University; he was employed as a Program Manager at the Lear Corporation. The committal at Cadillac Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Westland, Michigan will be private. To those attending visitation and/or services for a loved one, in keeping with CDC and State of Michigan DHHS guidelines, masks and social distancing along with limitations on number of person(s) will be enforced.
