Sharon Smith

Born in Newton, Iowa, Sharon was the daughter of Robert and Margaret (Williams) Smith. A dedicated homemaker, Sharon also worked for MediLodge of Monroe for over 20 years, retiring in 2011. She enjoyed taking care of her animals. Sharon had a cat named Angel, a bird named Boogie and she enjoyed feeding the squirrels in her yard. She recently had been attending church at Monroe Full Gospel. Sharon leaves to cherish her memory her children: Jeff (Kathie) Petree of Monroe and Kimberly Petree of Decatur, Georgia; grandchildren: Hannah, Vinson, Kyle and Dylan, great grandchildren: Abbigail, Bryce, Peyton, Noah and Lydia; as well as her siblings: Don Smith of Newton, Iowa, Ron (Sheila) Smith of Newton, Iowa, John Smith of Monroe and Pat Braaskma of Chariton, Iowa. Sadly she was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers: Jim Smith and Tom Smith and her life partner Larry Cox In accordance with Sharon's wishes, cremation arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Allore Chapel-Martenson Family of Funeral Homes.
