Sharon Marie "Gale" Oberly

Sharon Marie “Gale” Oberly, age 68 of Monroe, passed away October 16, 2023 in the comfort of her home.

Born October 10, 1955 in Monroe, Sharon was the daughter of Richard and Jacqueline (Richards) Gale. A 1973 graduate of Jefferson High School, she worked at K-Mart for over 30 years. Sharon also worked for Food Town, Magnum-Activities and Dollar Tree. She was a member of St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church where she volunteered for the Rosary Makers. Sharon also volunteered at Oaks of Righteousness, MCOP, Wings and Mercy Memorial Hospital. She just loved her dog Mitzie and enjoying family and friends, doing crafts, gardening, going to amusement parks, playing games and lots of bus trips and traveling, especially her trip to Jerusalem.

Sharon leaves to cherish her memory her mother Jacqueline; a sister Belinda (Richard) LeBrun as well as many nieces and nephews. Sadly she was preceded in death by her father Richard; brother Allen; a sister Roseann and an infant sister Lois.
