Sarah Ruth Garcia

Sarah Ruth Garcia, of Southgate, passed away May 16, 2023. Beloved wife of the late Frank Garcia. Dear mother of Cynthia (Alan), Frank (Gigi), Sharon, Marguerite, Kathryn (Frank), and Marianne (Stephen). Proud grandma of 12, and great grandma of 10. She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers and sisters. She is survived by many nieces and nephews.

Sarah was an avid quilter and enjoyed sewing beautiful quilts. She enjoyed baking and doing crossword puzzles and jig saw puzzles. She was on the council at the Southgate Co-op apartments when she was a resident. She would find herself in trouble at the casino and playing lotto tickets.

Visitation will be held at The Martenson Family of Funeral Homes – Allen Park Chapel on Tuesday May 23, 2023 from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm. A funeral service will begin at 6:00 pm.
