Sara Lou Sneden

Sara Lou Sneden, of Detroit, died Thursday, June 18, 2015 at Oakwood Hospital of Dearborn. She was 92 years old. Sara was born on September 29, 1922 in Lagrange, Georgia to her parents James and Nancy (Carson) Cole. She was united in marriage to her beloved husband Nathan Sneden and the couple made their home in Detroit, Michigan. Their marriage was blessed with seven children, James, Charles, Connie Edward, Raymond Arthur, Clinton Warren, Nancy Elizabeth, and Ronnie Michael. Sara worked as a teacher's aide for most of her life. She loved to crochet and enjoyed the outdoors; she even grew delicious, seedless blackberries in her back yard. Sara is the beloved wife of 49 years to the late Nathan Sneden. Loving mother of the late James Sneden, Charles (Linda) Sneden, Connie Edward Sneden, the late Raymond Arthur Sneden, Clinton Warren Sneden, Nancy Elizabeth (Brian) Peterson, and Ronnie Michael (Grace) Sneden. Proud grandmother of thirteen grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by both of her parents and her eight siblings.
