Sandra J. Vassel

Sandra was born on January 8, 1947 in Detroit, Michigan and died at Beaumont Hospital-Dearborn on December 31, 2017 at the age of 70; she was of Allen Park and formerly of Taylor. Beloved mom of Terri Clanton and the late Michial and his wife Debra Clanton. Cherished granny of Cheyenne, Destiny, Misty, Lacey, the late Brandon and the late Tiffany. Dearest great grandma of Maleah, Collin, Aryanna and Izabella. Also survived by her sister Toni (Ray) Podsaid and her brother Mark Smith as well as other loving family and friends. She was also preceded in death by Butch Hrbal, who was the love of her life, her parents James and Jean and one brother Terry Smith. Sandra retired as a nurse from Beaumont Hospital-Dearborn after over thirty years of service. Visitation is on Thursday from 5 pm until the time of the service which will be Thursday at 7 pm both at The Allen Park Chapel of The Martenson Family of Funeral Homes, 10915 Allen Rd. (Corner of Goddard). Memorial contributions may be made as the donor chooses.
