Salvatore "Sam" Pallone

Salvatore "Sam" Pallone, age 73 of the Downriver area, passed away June 23, 2021. Dear son of the late Rudolph Pallone and Ruby Mae Dedenbach. Loving Husband of Theresa (Terry). Beloved brother of Jim Pallone (Chris), Dee Dee Ungar (Frank), the late Tom Pallone (Catherine), and Tony Pallone (Clarence). Dear father of Tina Kruse (David), Dion Pallone, step daughter Tracee Madden (Randy), the late Mark Pallone and the late Sherry Pallone. Proud grandfather of Ashley Pallone, Samantha Madewell (Mason), Alexandra Camerlengo, Joshua and Megan Madden, Addison Pallone, Kristin and Steven Cummings and Mitch Kruse. Great-grandfather of Gabriella and Audrianna Madewell and Henry Cummings, along with several nieces and nephews. Sam was known for his love of family and spending time with his children, grandchildren and extended family. His grandchildren and great grandchildren were his greatest joy in life and brought him so much love and laughter. Sam was a hard worker. The last 23 years of his career Sam worked for Guardian Industries in Carleton, MI. This where he met his wife Terry and they created many life-long friendships. One of Sam’s favorite hobbies was traveling and taking road trips. Sam and Terry took vacations to the Bahamas, Mexico, Las Vegas, and several cruises. Since retiring, Sam and Terry enjoyed “snowbirding” the winters in Alabama, Florida and Tennessee to see family and friends. Sam was known as an excellent cook and by far his best meals included his homemade spaghetti sauce and meatballs followed by his famous hot pepper salad. He shared his love of cooking with Terry and their grandson Josh. He was always happy to sit back and enjoy when they made the sauce for him. His famous line was – it just need a little something… He was an avid motorcyclist and his last motorcycle was one of his favorites – a beautiful blue Indian. He would ride his motorcycle to work and on the weekends stopping at his brother’s houses to check in. Sam did not want to have funeral services following his passing and wanted his family and friends to celebrate his life the way he lived – with love, laughter and lots of delicious food. The family is going to take some time to plan this celebration and information will be shared on timing at a later date. The family is finding peace in know that Sam has been reunited with his son Mark, his parents and other loving family members that have gone before him. Condolences can be sent through the Martenson Funeral home website, Facebook (Terry Elie Pallone) or to their home.
