Ruth Evelyn Orr, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away January 28, 2025. She was born on July 5, 1940, in Garret, Kentucky, to Everett and Ethel Blair.
Ruth received her formal education at Trenton High School in Trenton, Michigan. Throughout her life, she remained an active and devoted member of the Church of God in Riverview, Michigan. On December 13, 1958, Ruth was united in marriage to Donald Orr in Trenton, Michigan. Together, they raised four children, building a life full of love and memories.
As a homemaker, Ruth dedicated herself to her family. In her leisure time, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and was often found volunteering in support of youth sports, whether running the concession stands or assisting with local youth football and baseball events.
Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Orr; her daughter, Susan Allen; her parents, Everett and Ethel Blair; her brother, Raymond Blair; her sisters, Patsy Walker and Virginia Walker; and her grandsons, Shaun Reed and Ryan Sisbarro.
She is survived by her children, Cheryl Dlugosz (Ted), Barb Rudowski (Joe), Michael Orr (Donna), and son-in-law Tommy Allen; her grandchildren, Melissa Martindale, Nick Martindale (Ruth), Tiffany Logan (Aaron), Sydney Allen, Kelly Rakowski (Gary), and Carson Orr; as well as her great-grandchildren, Alexis Rakowski, Blake Rakowski, Aliyah Reed, Aaralyn Logan, Abriana Logan, Remington Allen, Dianna Conner, Justice Conner Jr., Nicholas Martindale Jr., and Luka Diouf. Additionally, she is survived by her great-great-grandchildren, Matthew Huff and Zane Huff.
Ruth’s memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved her, and she will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
