Ruth Ann Sieg

Born in Wyandotte, Ruth Ann was the daughter of Roy and Marian (Kalin) Matevie. A graduate of Roosevelt High School in Wyandotte, Ruth Ann then went on to earn her Bachelor Degree in Nursing from Wayne State University. She married the love of her life, Michael Sieg Jr. on February 12, 1971. Ruth Ann worked as a Pediatric Nurse for over 40 years at both Children's Hospital in Detroit and later with the medical practice of Dr. Susan Chamberlain. She was a fan of the four Detroit Sports Teams and also enjoyed spending time in the outdoors: bird watching, working in her garden and was quite an accomplished deer hunter, but her most cherished times were those spent with her family. Ruth Ann leaves to cherish her memory, Michael Jr., her husband of the past 46 years; sons: Michael III and Mark; siblings: Bill (Rosemary) Matevie and Bob (Linda) Matevie; as well as several nieces, nephews and loving family and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in honor of Ruth Ann may be made to St. Charles Catholic Church, 8125 Swan Creek Rd., Newport, MI 48166, and/ or Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 1723 Co Rd.
