Rosina Soranno

Rosina was born in Bagnoli, Italy on March 29, 1920 and died on October 13, 2018 at the age of 98; she was of Detroit. She traveled to the United States when she was eight years old and settled in Detroit and married Pasquale Soranno from Bari Italy at age 16; he preceded her in death. Loving mother of Frank Soranno, Stella Moccia (the late Vito Moccia) and the late Jerry Soranno and his wife Jane. Also survived by her 9 grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, one brother Victor Rossi (the late Barb) and one sister Ida (Bill) Morgante as well as other loving family and friends. Rosina was also preceded in death by her brother Ben and his wife Ida Rossi. Rosina was a long-time member of St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church. Visitation is on Friday, October 19, 2018 from 3 – 9 pm at The Allen Park Chapel of The Martenson Family of Funeral Homes. Rosina will lie in state on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at 9:30 am until the time of the Funeral Liturgy which will begin at 10 am.
