Rose Marie Gerbi

Rose Marie Gerbi of Trenton, Michigan passed away on Sunday, January 1, 2023 at the age of 85. Beloved wife of 63 years to Aldo Gerbi. Cherished mother of Victor (Kathy Robertson) Gerbi, David (Karen) Gerbi, Paul (Trisha) Gerbi, and Andrea (Rachel Faber) Gerbi. Loving grandmother of Ashley (Matthew Bowman), Alexander, Marissa, Nicholas, Nadia, Jack, and Gia. Dear sister of Alfred (Esther) Riccomini and Ascania (Joe) Mastroianni. Rose Marie was a dedicated teacher in Southgate Schools for over 40 years. An educator to her core, Rose had a lifelong commitment and passion for education and scholarship. She truly never stopped learning, growing, and adapting to our ever-changing world. A tough little Italian woman from the Bronx, Rose was the very embodiment of resilience. With her grit and her wit, she served as a role model for her students, family, and friends and loved everyone in her life fiercely and loyally. She will be profoundly missed by the many who knew and loved her.

A memorial gathering for Rose Marie will take place on Friday, January 6, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Trenton Chapel of The Martenson Family of Funeral Homes located at 3200 West Road, 48183. A rosary service will be held that evening at 7:00 p.m. followed by a family sharing time at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home. A memorial Mass will take place the following day, Saturday, January 7, 2023 at St. Timothy’s Catholic Church located at 2901 Manning St, Trenton, MI 48183. In State 11:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., Mass at 12:00 p.m.. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to St. Jude Children’s Research hospital in Rose Marie’s honor.
