Monroe – Rosalie Sutton beloved wife of Condon C. Sutton who preceded her in death and mother of six sons passed away with family and friends by her side on Wednesday, October 18th, at the age of 105. Rosalie was born on August 15, 1912, in Middlesboro, Kentucky and was the daughter of Mary Cirelda and Robert Lee Neikirk. She moved to Monroe about 1925 and married Condon C. Sutton on Sept 7, 1928 in Toledo, Ohio. Rosalie was baptized on July 1, 1951, as one of Jehovah's Witnesses. For over 60 years she was very active in the Bible education work offered free of charge through the house to house public ministry. Over the years she helped many to find satisfying answers to mankind's most pressing problems from their own copy of God's Word the Bible. She looked forward with great anticipation and certainty to the wonderful conditions of a paradise earth as promised at Psalms 37:10, 11. She took great pride in caring for her beloved husband, sons and grandchildren and especially cherished high tea with her granddaughter Erin and great-granddaughter Camryn. Sparked by a love for flowers, at age 65 she embarked on a new vocational career and graduated from an elite floral design school in Detroit. Thereafter, she worked as a floral designer at Sutton's Monroe Florist until her retirement in 1985. She was preceded in death by her husband and two sons, Charles Condon and Richard Delano, daughters-in-law Helen Sutton and Diane Sutton, granddaughters Rose Marie Sutton and Patty Sutton and great grandson Bradley Baugh along with three brothers: William (Bea) Neikirk, Robert Ball, and G.W. Neikirk. She is survived by four sons: Doyle of Oak Harbor, Ohio, Eugene (Mary) of Monroe, Robert B. of Monroe, and David B. (Eva) of Monroe. Two daughters in law, Italia Sutton and Brenda Sutton, dear friend Theresa Sutton along with 40 grand-children and great grandchildren also survive her. In lieu of donations please send flowers. Rosalie loved flowers and believed that floral expressions of love last forever.
