Ronald A. Ciuray

Ronald A. Ciuray; age 80, of Carleton, passed away October 12, 2018, peacefully at home with family by his side after a short illness. Born April 20, 1938 in Detroit, he was the son of Stanley and Mary (Kotlarczyk) Ciuray. He attended All Saints School in Detroit and graduated from Catholic Central High School in Monroe in 1956. He served in the U.S. Army Reserves from 1961 to 1965. He married Caroline Kay Harris at St. Anne Catholic Church in Monroe on August 22, 1964. She preceded him in death on February 21, 2018, after 53 years of marriage. Ron retired from Guardian Industries in April 1998. After retirement he enjoyed watching sports, visiting garage sales and taking long drives on Austin Road in Saline with his wife. Ron loved buying and reselling things, particularly 45rpm records, drum kits and old cars. Mostly he loved his wife and family. Loving dad of Rhonda (Bill) Wright, William (Carol) Ciuray and Larry (Lisa) Ciuray. Dearest papa of Rodney, Josie (Darrell), Abby, Brooklyn, Madyson, Will, Logan and great-papa of Makylee, Avery and Cody. Dear brother of Virginia Sheehan and the late Florence Lynch. Also survived by many other loving family members and friends. The family suggests donations in memory of Ronald to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
