Born in Massey, Ontario, Canada, Ron was the son of Joseph and Alice (Bouillon) Morin. He served in the United States Army from March 25, 1954 until March 6, 1956. Ron then married the love of his life, Julia Vorva, on August 2, 1958. They raised their family in South Rockwood where Ron was involved in Little League baseball. Ron worked for Ford Motor Company for nine years where he secured two patents and then in 1979 founded J & R Design Systems. He worked out of his home, with the help of Julia, designing paint systems for the auto industry throughout the world. He was a member of St. Mary's Church in South Rockwood as well as St Luke's church in Palm Harbor and Resurrection church in Canton. He retired in 1992 spending time between homes in Palm Harbor, Florida and Canton, Michigan. In his spare time Ron enjoyed traveling, golfing, reading, walking and spent over 14 years working on his memoirs resulting in 36 bound volumes. Ron leaves to cherish his memory, Julia his wife of the past 60 years; children: Dr. Mark (Dr. Shanna) Morin, Angela (Stuart) Sedlacek JD, Martin Morin and Laura Duncan; a sister Anne Paquette; as well as 10 grandchildren and one step grandchild and many nieces and nephews. Sadly, he was preceded in death by his parents and four siblings. In accordance with Ron's wishes, cremation arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Ford Chapel-Martenson Family of Funeral Homes. A Memorial may be forthcoming. Donations may be given to the Cancer Association.
