Loving son to Sharyn (the late David) Wild and Roland (Marilyn) Young. Proud brother of Reneé (Phil) Zarachowicz. Loving son-in-law to the late Everett Harper and the late Theresa Harper. Proud brother-in-law to Russ (Denise) Harper, the late Lou Ann (the late Tony) Flores, Cindy (Carlos) Casab, Mike (Vicki) Harper, John Harper, Everett (the late Dolores) Harper and the late Bill Harper. Proud uncle to 21 nieces and nephews. Roland is survived by his uncle James Young, two cousins and many other loving family and friends. Roland enjoyed photography, reading a good book and listening to music. He enjoyed visiting Comerica Park and watching baseball; his favorite teams were the Detroit Tigers and the Chicago Cubs. Visitation will take place at The Martenson Family of Funeral Homes Sunday July 11,2021 from 2-9 pm. A rosary will be held that evening at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. The service will take place on Monday July 12, 2021. In State 11:30 a.m. with the Mass of Resurrection to begin at 12 noon at St. Frances Cabrini Parish located at 9000 Laurence Ave, Allen Park, MI 48101. Memorial contributions can be made in memory of Roland to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
