Roger William Naylor

Born on October 28, 1952, in Detroit, Roger William Naylor was the beloved son of Gerald and Eleanor (Rogers) Naylor. A graduate of Lincoln Park High School, Roger went on to proudly serve his country in the United States Army. He built a long career as a Tool Maker with Chrysler Corporation, where he worked for over 23 years before retiring in 2002. Afterward, he continued working as a truck driver, retiring in 2018.

A devoted member of Christ the King Lutheran Church, Roger was a passionate fan of Michigan and Detroit sports teams. He enjoyed collecting coins, but his greatest joy came from spending time with his family.

Roger is survived by his loving children: Jason Naylor I, Christina (Sean) Collins, and Angela Naylor; his cherished grandchildren: Ethan, Jason II, and Paul Jr.; and his siblings: Gary Naylor, Laura Pall, Cynthia Lynas, Kimberly Naylor, and Scott Pettengill. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gerald Naylor and Eleanor Pall, his stepfather Wilbert Pall, and his brother Dennis Naylor.

A celebration of Roger’s life will be held at the Martenson Funeral Home-Allen Park Chapel, located at 10915 Allen Rd. Friends and family are invited to pay their respects on Friday from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. Services will be held on Saturday, with a visitation beginning at 10:30 a.m., followed by the funeral service at 11 a.m. at Christ the King Lutheran Church. Military Honors will be rendered by the Downriver Veterans Honor Guard.
