Roger "Roy" Kormos

Roger “Roy” Kormos, of Alger, raised in Rockwood, passed away January 19, 2025. Beloved husband of Sandy Kormos. Loving dad of Sherry (Dave) Viaene, Sue (Tim) Viaene, and Laura (Chris) Roman. Proud grandpa of Matthew Viaene, Miranda Viaene, Taran Viaene, Zachary Viaene, Shane Viaene, Kaitlyn Viaene, Abigail (Gerth) Willighagen, Erica Roman, and Anthony Roman. He is survived by many nieces, nephews, and other loving family members. He is preceded in death by his parents, Vendel and Mildred Kormos, and his siblings, Wilbur “Popeye”, Leo, Virginia, MaryAnn, and Bernard “Buzz”.

Roy enjoyed everything about the outdoors. He enjoyed shooting archery and rifles. He loved fishing, hunting, tractors, and gardening. Most importantly, he cherished all of the family activities.

Visitation will take place at The Trenton Chapel of The Martenson Family of Funeral Homes on Saturday, January 25 from 12:00 pm until 9:00 pm. A celebration of life service will begin at 6:30 pm, where anyone will be able to share memories.
