Rodney J. Laura

Rodney James Laura, age 69 of Grayling, MI formerly of Rockwood, MI passed

away on March 11, 2023.

Loving brother to Gail Bunch (Jim), Gary Laura (Vicki), Nancy Diegel (Ken), Mary Jo

Forrest (Casey), Terry Van Buskirk (Bill) Edwin Laura (Nancy) Beth Ann Laura (Kevin

Smith) and Barbara Chrapko (Ken). Sadly, he was preceded in death by his parents

Henry and Mary (Lezotte) Laura of South Rockwood.

Rodney worked for Chrysler plant for 28 years and retired happily in the year of

2000. He was also a member of St. Mary’s Parish, Rockwood and was a volunteer

Fireman for the Village of South Rockwood from 1971 – 1977. He also spent his

time as a member of the Monroe Area Cloudbusters, enjoyed bird watching,

photography and woodworking. He was a joy to family and friends with his quick

humor and fun spirit. Rodney served in the U.S. Air Force enlisting in July 23, 1981

and was honorably discharged on July 22, 1985.

There will be a funeral service at St. Mary’s of the Annunciation, Rockwood on

Friday, April 14 with family receiving at 10:00 am and service at 10:30 am.
